Metro (60
minutes drive
time)
At Metro
Yeshwantpur turn
your trip meter
to 0.
Now drive on the
road to Penya on
the Poona
Bangalore
highway.
At 2.1 km you
will pass RNS
motors on the
right side, you
will next pass
the Penya
turnoff at 5 km,
be on the right
lane.
At 6.4 km you
will see the
Optolabs on the
right side and
next to that is
the black glass
Reliance house.
Take a right
turn immediately
after this –
this is the
Hessarghatta
Road.
You will now be
driving for
another 19 kms.
The roads are
bing widened
right now, so
expect some road
work right
through.
You will pass an
IBP petrol bunk
and St Teresa’s
Nursing college
on the left,
then you will
come across an
arch and
Vijayashree
International
public school on
the right.
You may see
boards giving
directions to
Kuteeram and
Nitryagram and
also the boards
of “Our Native
Village”.
However due to
the road works,
a lot are
missing.
At 8.7 km you
will come across
a V fork at
which you need
to take the
right fork with
the Saptagiri
college of
Engineering on
the right side
(a black
building).
At 9.6 km you
will get another
V fork you need
to take the
right fork again
with Janapriya
Nivas on the
right.
At 9.9 km you
will get the
railway crossing
and here you
need to go
straight – do
not take the mud
track on the
right.
At 10.5 km you
will pass the
Chikkabanavara
village, where
you will go
along the
railway station.
At 12.2 km you
will pass the
BWSSB station.
At 17.9 km you
will get the
Indian Institute
of
Horighticultural
Research with a
road turning to
the right-do not
take this road-
keep to the
straight road
and you will
come across an
IBP petrol bunk
on the left.
At 18.9 km you
will see the
Central Poultry
research
institute. Go
right here. If
you go straight,
you will be
entering the
Hessargata
village. After
you turn right,
you will go onto
a narrow road.
You will see the
Hessergatta Lake
in front of you.
At 20.8 km you
will see the
Turkey unit.
At 21.4 km take
a left turn (
board of Our
Native Village
and Kuteeram
will be seen).
At 22.5 km you
will see the
Adarsh film
studio in front
of you- road
turns to the
left . After
this you see the
turning on the
right for the
Govt film
institute-ignore.
Immediately
after this the
next right turn
needs to be
taken and after
a 2.5 km drive
through some
spectacular open
savannah type of
landscape going
into the
horizon, you
will get a T
junction through
a clump of
trees. Take the
right turn, and
follow the road
as it winds into
Our Native
Village after
about 500
meters.
